The Rodavigo website and the internationalization of our service have been the keys to be able to face the economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic in the industrial sector. Our general manager, Nazario Correa, explained to Faro De Vigo that “we have managed to make Rodavigo, being a local company, able to work globally”.
In order to develop successfully these strategies, we have made available all the technological tools necessary to guarantee stable and efficient teleworking, so that at the Mos facilities the merchandise can be disposed of with the necessary personnel under the conditions of protection and adequate security. Thanks to this combination, not only has it not been necessary to apply any temporary employment regulation (ERTE) file, but the market has diversified and the website has been prioritized as a source of customer acquisition and loyalty, without neglecting trade traditional. As acknowledged by our general manager, “this year was going to be very good, we were in a great moment. We have adapted and teleworking works wonderfully.”
Given the decrease in local and national trade, as well as the crisis in sectors such as the automobile, the option of diversifying the type of product and customer gave positive results. An example of this was an order requested from India for a value of 200,000 euros in materials used to manufacture respirators. The client got to know us through our website, which we completely renewed last year. And we also adapt to the type of product that we can supply. And like this case, contracts are still being negotiated with other foreign clients.
Despite the difficulties caused by the current situation we are experiencing, at Rodavigo we will continue to work and adapt to challenges in the best possible way. With a return to the routine still pending of the evolution of the Covid-19, we will study our own de-escalation taking the necessary measures in the rehabilitation of spaces in our offices. Meanwhile, we will continue to offer our best service to anywhere in the world.
